Serves - 2

White Rice (Pachari) - 1 cup (Soaked for 6-7 Hours)
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Cooked Rice - 1 Handful
Instant Dry Yeast - 1/4tsp
Water - 1 1/4 cup
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 3tsp
Steps
* Grind the White rice, coconut, cooked rice and yeast with water to make a smooth batter.
* Convert to a Big bowl, add sugar and mix well.
* Keep it aside for 8 Hours to rise. (Use a big bowl, so that when the batter rises, it wont spill.)
* Mix in salt as required.
* Heat an Appa Chatti (pan used for making vellayappam) and pour 2 Full Ladles of the batter. Twist the pan so that a thin lacy layer forms outside and a thicker portion is left in the centre. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes in low flame. Repeat the steps to make more appams.
* Serve it Hot with any curry of your choice.
